Helper is a trip back in time, and so is the Union Pacific Station there. Between Helper's status as former home to D&RGW 5371 and other historic (decaying) equipment, there's a classic old waiting room inside the station.

Passenger service to Helper is done by Amtrak, which means it's unreliable at best. The westbound California Zephyr is *supposed* to arrive between 7pm and 8pm, and lucky you, the station is heated so you won't freeze while you wait till 3am for the train to show up.

The eastbound California Zephyr stops in Helper at 3am according to the schedule. Not likely, you can often sleep in and get breakfast before detraining in Helper.

What is there to do in Helper? See the Helper page about Utah's Christmas town.
